Teaching & Speaking — In my opinion, teaching is one of the most significant missions for a designer because it shapes how future designers will change the World. Also, help you to create new tools and experiment with methodologies. Moreover, I was a speaker at different Design and Tech events to share my thoughts and ideas.
Education — Always learning! Every year, I used to follow 2-3 conferences and different online talks, courses, and workshops.
I usually read a design book every month, from old 70s Design Theory essays to the last trending books about UX methods.
Medium articles? Yes, but I’m careful about the sources (I don’t like copy and paste).

Design Communities — I led the local UX Community (UX Club Rome) from 2015 to 2017 (photo on the right).
Moreover, I co-hosted different UX events such as the CoDesign Jam Rome 2015, WIAD Rome 2016 and 2017. Also, I organized other events and communities related to technologies, the makers movement, and DIY practices like indie video games and circuit bending.
I believe in learning by doing, in the Do-It-Yourself, and the power of spreading knowledge through the communities.
Beside design
I love Music
Before Covid, I usually attended more than 50 concerts every year from small punk DIY gigs to big ones like Aphex Twin, Slowdive, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Alva Noto & Sakamoto.
In a nutshell, I’m crazy for music, vinyls and concerts!
Photo as changemaker
I believe that photo-reportage can nudge us to improve the society. My fav reporters are: Alex Majoli, Matt Black, Letizia Battaglia, Josef Koudelka, Paolo Pellegrin, Abbas.
I always take with me my Nikon FM2 for exploring the World.
Art as inspiration
I think that all artistic fields, also Design, are intertwingled! Some of my best ideas came out after I walked into a gallery or a museum. I usually go to 1-2 exhibits every month because they’re the fuel for my creativity!
